Житель штата Нью-Йорк Эрик Уэлш официально поменял свое имя на Дарт Вейдер, сообщает газета Democrat and Chronicle.

Представитель департамента штата по регистрации транспортных средств подтвердила, что Дарт Вейдер — новое официальное имя Уэлша.

43-летний мужчина рассказал, что рос в приемных семьях, поэтому у него нет особой "семейной связи" с именем.

По его словам, персонаж "Звездных войн" Дарт Вейдер обладает лидерскими качествами и жестким характером.

Сам Уэлш испытывал свой характер в полумарафонах и других испытаниях. Издание отмечает, что в 2002 году ему диагностировали лейкемию.

В Украине Дарт Вейдер существует давно. Он лидер Интернет партии Украине и даже принимал ичастие в парламентских выборах-2014 и местных-2015.
