Американська влада вважає, що російські хакери з угруповання "Мережа грізлі" причетні до атаки на електромережі в штаті Вермонт.

Про це пише Washington Post з посиланням на чиновників в американському уряді.

Відзначається, що код, який пов'язують з російськими хакерами, виявили в системі елетрокомпаніі.

При цьому роботу компанії порушено не було. Однак сам факт проникнення в електричні мережі є важливим, оскільки несе потенційну небезпеку. Будь-які збої в комп'ютерній системі електромереж можуть мати катастрофічні наслідки для роботи медичних і аварійно-рятувальних служб країни.

Американські офіційні особи, в тому числі один співробітник адміністрації заявили, що поки не знають, з якою метою була здійснена хакерські атака. Вторгнення могло бути скоєно, щоб порушити роботу програми, або як тест, за допомогою якого хакери перевіряли свої можливості.

Газета нагадує, що в 2015 році була здійснена кібератака на електромережі України.

Як відомо, 23 грудня 2015 року українська компанія "Прикарпаттяобленерго"повідомила про відключення електроенергії, що торкнулося Івано-Франківська та ще частини Прикарпаття.

Причиною аварії назвали втручання сторонніх осіб в роботу телемеханіки - автоматичної системи контролю і управління енергетичним обладнанням.

Служба безпеки України 28 грудня звинуватила в цьому Росію. США тоді теж підозрювали РФ.
