Американская компания Facebook опубликовала финансовую отчетность за третий квартал текущего года, согласно которой ее прибыль выросла на 11% по сравнению с аналогичным периодом прошлого года, пишет ВВС.

По данным компании, управляющей одноименной социальной сетью, в третьем квартале нынешнего года ее прибыль составила 891 млн долларов против 806 млн долларов за тот же период 2014 года.

Месячная аудитория Facebook в третьем квартале выросла на 60 млн человек – с 1,49 млрд до 1,55 млрд. Количество ежедневно заходящих в соцсеть пользователей увеличилось на 42 млн человек – до 1,01 млрд человек в сутки.

Такие результаты дополнительно повышают привлекательность Facebook для рекламодателей. Инвесторы также довольны, но хотели бы больше информации о планах развития приобретенных компанией сервисов Instagram и WhatsApp.

Стоимость акций компании после публикации отчета выросла более чем на 5%.

Социальная сеть Facebook считается крупнейшей в мире. При этом в последние годы она выходит и на другие рынки. В частности, помимо Instagram и WhatsApp компания приобрела права на технологию виртуальной реальности Oculus.
