Спостерігач від Міжнародного фонду за краще управління, член Палати лордів Парламенту Великої Британії лорд Ричард Балф констатує відсутність порушень на місцевих виборах у Дніпропетровську, що пройшли 25 жовтня.

Про це він повідомив на прес-конференції "Другий тур виборів у Дніпропетровську: випробування демократії" у п'ятницю в Києві, повідомляють Українські новини.

"Наші враження від першого туру виборів досить оптимістичні. Адже ми не бачили на виборчих дільницях якихось значних маніпуляцій. Ми задоволені тим, що вибори проходили досить мирно, і сподіваємося, що й другий тур (запланований на 15 листопада) пройде так само", - сказав він.

Лорд додав, що на жодній з 8 дільниць, які він відвідав за час місцевих виборів у Дніпропетровську, що відбулися 25 жовтня, він не бачив грубих порушень ні під час проведення виборів, ні під час підрахунку голосів, а також йому не відомі будь-які випадки прояву насильства.

Він також висловив надію, що в другому турі місцевих виборів у Дніпропетровську візьме участь значно більше виборців, ніж у першому.
