Британське видання The Guardian включило дві світлини з Майдану до переліку найкращих фото року. Одна з них зроблена українським фотографом Владиславом Соделем.
 

Як пише The Guardian, фоторедактор газети The Guardian Сара Гілберт обрала «найбільш захопливі» знімки 2014 року,пише Media Sapiens

Серед них – світлини з Фергюсона, Палестини, Марокко, Сирії, Ліберії, України, Росії та інших країн.

На двох знімках зображено київський Майдан в час найжорсткіших протистоянь.

Одне фото із зображенням протестувальника зі щитом та священика із хрестом зробив фотограф агенції Magnum  Джером Сессіні (Jerome Sessini), інше – український фотограф Владислав Содель.
