Центральная избирательная комиссия заменила на сайте реестра избирателей карты OpenStreetMap на GoogleMaps из-за отображения Крыма спорной территорией.

Об этом сообщил руководитель службы распорядителя Государственного реестра избирателей Александр Стельмах.

На своей странице в фейсбуке Стельмах сообщил, что на сайте ЦИК в качестве ресурса для слоя карт, на который накладываются избирательные пространственные данные, использовался некоммерческий картографический интернет-ресурс OpenStreetMap.

"Из-за правила "map what's on the ground" (добавляйте на карту то, что есть на самом деле), установленное советом редакторов проекта OpenStreetMap, Крымский полуостров, который аннексирован Россией, отображается как спорная территория", - отметил Стельмах.

Он пояснил, что Центральная избирательная комиссия не имеет никакого влияния на администрирование и формирование политики отображения картографической информации OpenStreetMap. Учитывая это, в качестве первичного слоя для отображения геопространственных данных вместо проекта OpenStreetMap ЦИК будет временно использовать электронный сервис GoogleMaps.

Стельмах отметил, что некоммерческая версия Google Maps имеет определенные ограничения в количестве отражений карт на каждом ресурсе, что усложнит использование геопространственной информации, размещенной на сайте Государственного реестра избирателей.
