Что ждет Украину 24 июля? — в западных СМИ все больше склоняются к вероятности дефолта. Никаких признаков того, что украинское правительство сможет убедить иностранных кредиторов пойти на реструктуризацию задолженности, пока не видно. И введение моратория только закрепит факт дефолта. Американские генералы заявляют, что в Украине нет никаких российских «отпускников», добровольцев и наемников — там действует регулярная армия РФ и поэтому, Россия должна понести ответственность за конфликт на востоке страны.

В иностранной прессе появилось сообщение, что результаты расследования сбитого пророссийскими боевиками боинга МН17 могут передать в международный трибунал ООН. И тогда уже России придется начать сотрудничать со следствием, или же идти в полный отказ, но это повлечет наложение новых санкций. Цена на нефть скоро снова упадет — прогнозируют ведущие мировые аналитики, и помешать этому не представляется возможным.

Этой ночью беглый экс-президент Виктор Янукович дал интервью журналистам ВВС, в котором он, как и многие до него прежде, подтвердил сворачивание проекта «Новороссия». Донбасс — это территория Украины, но к его лидерам нужно искать подход и договариваться. Что касается Крыма, то пока что он только признал его аннексию, но, судя по тенденциям, то скоро и Крым тоже может стать украинским. Вторым главным событием дня стало долгожданное продление западных санкций против России.

Американские военные призывают НАТО готовиться к тому, что Россия при режиме Владимира Путина не изменит свой агрессивный курс. И поскольку никаких изменений в поведение Путина не предвидится — нужно действовать против России «сильно, но сбалансировано». Республиканские же «ястребы» Сената, наоборот, призывают к более смелому и активному участию Запада в конфликте на востоке Украины.

Сенат принял оборонный бюджет на 2016 год с 300-милионной помощью Украине, но не смог найти средств чтобы его профинансировать. В принципе, времени у Сената на поиск средств до осени, еще предостаточно, но американский президент, которому не по душе новый бюджет, может начать ставить палки в колеса. Чем это закончиться покажет время.

Евросоюз продлил еще на полгода антироссийские санкции, сообщают западные СМИ. В принципе, ничего удивительного не произошло — все случилось ровно так, как всеми и ожидалось. Россия не сделала ничего из требований Запада, чтобы рассчитывать на какое-то снисхождение к себе. Регулярное введение дипломатических и экономических ограничений для РФ становится уже банальной обыденностью для цивилизованного общества. Вторая новость — нормандская четверка в начале следующей недели встретится в Париже для обсуждения выполнения Минских соглашений.

Ядерное оружие — единственный весомый аргумент России в противостоянии с Западом, и она им умело пользуется, отмечается большинством военных экспертов. По всем остальным параметрам РФ серьезно уступает военной машине НАТО. А учитывая, что военное сотрудничество по многим стратегически важным вопросам и технологиям прекращено полностью, то Россия еще и рискует серьезно отстать от передовых стран мира.
