На трасі Київ-Чоп біля Сколе на замовлення ЛОДА встановили туристичний інформаційний стенд з інформацією про відомого діяча ОУН Івана Бутковського.

На знаку написано: «Родинне місто Івана Бутковського Провідного члена ОУН Повітового провідника ОУН Сколівщини м. Сколе»

Проте англомовний варіант більше схожий на безглуздий набір слів.

Наприклад, «повітового провідника» переклали як «air condition» ( «кондиціонувати»), а Іван отримав чомусь жіночу форму імені Івана..

На інших знаках теж подібні помилки.

Наприклад, «криївка підпільної типографії УПА» переклали як «kryiviva satellite UPA typography», «перших боїв українського січового стрілецтва» як «the first boy of Ukrainian sich looking for the luck», а «братів» як «brathers». Фразу «автор пісні «Ой у лузі червона калина» вирішили не перекладати взагалі.

“Переклад не входить в обов’язки працівників департаменту культури, зрештою як і знання англійської мови. У нас не перекладацька агенція. У нас департамент культури, а не міжнародних відносин, де всі зобов’язані знати англійську” – зазначила керівник департаменту культури Мирослава Туркало.

Як повідомляв PRпортал, поблизу міста Сколе Львівської області виявлено щит з інформацією для іноземних туристів, на якому "повітовий провідник ОУН" перекладено як "oun owner air condition" що є набором слів "ОУН власник кондиціонування повітря".
