По сюжету ролика мексиканская семья, мать и дочь, направляются в США за лучшей жизнью.

Как передает Market Watch, телекомпания CBS отказалась показывать полную версию рекламы, так как она «слишком политическая».

В полной версии ролика, женщина и девочка доходят до границы с США и видят стену, но находят в ней дверь и попадают на территорию США. Ролик заканчивается цитатой: «Желание преуспеть всегда приветствуется здесь».

Отмечается, что реклама вызвала неоднозначную реакцию в соцсетях, некоторые призвали бойкотировать строительную компанию из-за пропаганды нелегальной миграции, другие назвали ее лучшей рекламой за последние годы.

В компании 84 Lumber объяснили, что реклама была приурочена к национальной кампании приема на работу.
