У ролику працівники редакції тримають аркуші паперу з розповіддю про розслідування злочину та кілька разів акцентують увагу на бездіяльності слідства. Наприкінці відео у кадрі з'являється син журналістки Ілля Політковський, який тримає аркуш із вимогою знайти замовника убивства, пишет Media Sapiens
Разом із відео була опублікована стаття заступника головного редактора Сергія Соколова. «Ми відчуваємо лють, коли представники держави брешуть, кажучи про те, що справа розкрита» - написав він.
Анна Політковська була в опозиції до російської влади і у своїх матеріалах активно її критикувала. Журналістку застрелили у під’їзді власного будинку 7 жовтня 2006 року.
Спілка журналістів Росії заснувала національну премію «Камертон» імені загиблої журналістки Анни Політковської наприкінці серпня 2013 року. Першим лауреатом премії у 2013 році стала спеціальний кореспондент видавничого дому «Коммерсантъ» Ольга Аллєнова.
