На пленарному засіданні сесії Криворізької міської ради новообраний мер міста Юрій Вілкул склав присягу міського голови.

Голова Криворізького міськвиборчкому Павло Гивель вручив Вілкулу посвідчення міського голови.

Напередодні міськвиборчком розглядав подані раніше скарги, в тому числі скарги представників Громадянської мережі "Опора". Їх, за словами  Гивеля, або повернули суб'єкту звернення, або залишили без розгляду. Підставою для цього стало порушення порядку звернення. Так, скарга "Опори" на дії дільничної комісії №121772 мала подаватися до районної виборчої комісії, а не до міської, тому її залишили без розгляду по суті. Друга скарга від представника цієї ж організації була подана в ДВК на дії самої ж ДВК, тоді як необхідно було поскаржитися в комісію вищого рівня, тобто в ЦВК. Тому Криворізький виборчком 12-ма голосами з 18-ти затвердив постанову про визнання обраним міським головою Кривого Рогу Вілкула.

Як повідомляв Укрінформ, Вілкул, за даними Криворізької МВК, на позачергових виборах міського голови набрав 74,18% голосів виборців (за нього проголосували 209 469 осіб), на другому місці - Семен Семенченко - 10,92% (30 837 осіб). Світлана Сова на третьому місці - 4,67% (13 190 голосів). Микола Колесник набрав 4,36% (12 316 голосів). Інші кандидати не пройшли 3-відсотковий бар’єр.
