Возле Печерского суда Киева около 300 человек собралось на акцию в поддержку экс-премьер-министра Украины Юлии Тимошенко, которая была арестована ровно два года назад. В частности, в акции принимают участие около 150 активистов Батьківщины молодой, а также группа народных депутатов: Александр Бригинец, Николай Томенко, Александр Абдулин. Акцией руководит Александр Турчинов, - сообщает "Интерфакс-Украина" Собравшиеся сторонники Тимошенко держат плакаты Юле - свободу!, Два года заключения демократии. Рядом с палаточным городком открыта фотовыставка 731 день заключения демократии. Экспозиция представляет собой подборку фотографий с Тимошенко с публичных мероприятий, в которых она участвовала, а также с судебного процесса. Справка: Напомним, что 11 октября 2011 года Печерский суд Киева приговорил Тимошенко к семи годам лишения свободы за превышение полномочий во время подписания газовых контрактов с Россией в 2009 году. Она была арестована во время судебного процесса 5 августа 2011 года. Экс-премьер отбывает наказание в Качановской колонии в Харькове с конца 2011 года. 30 апреля 2013 года ЕСПЧ огласил решение по делу Тимошенко против Украины. Суд установил нарушение трех пунктов ст. 5 (право на свободу и безопасность), а также ст. 18 (ограничение в отношении прав) Конвенции по защите прав и основных свобод человека в связи с арестом Тимошенко по газовому делу.
