Мировой рейтинг дизайна World Design Rankings (WDR) отмечает, что креаторы со всего мира делают свои сообщества — и, в конечном итоге, мир — более красивым, но конструктивным местом для жизни. Объявленный премией A ‘Design Award, одним из самых плодотворных конкурсов дизайна, рейтинг проливает свет на страны, где дизайнеры продемонстрировали образцовые инновации.

В последнем рейтинге Китай занял первое место среди 114 участвующих претендентов, получив в общей сложности 3136 наград с 2010 года. За ним следуют США, Япония, Италия, Гонконг, Великобритания, Тайвань, Турция, Германия и Австралия.

Рейтинг основан на том, сколько дизайнеров получили награду, а баллы распределяются в соответствии с уровнями этих призов.

Распространяя глобальную культуру дизайна, два новых участника, Макао и Ирак, пробились в рейтинг 2020–2021 годов. Украина заняла 23 место, сохранив позицию прошлогоднего рейтинга.
