За інформацією видання, причиною стало те, що в «Урюпинській газеті» фотографію політика федерального рівня розмістили нижче фото обласного депутата. Засновник газети звільнив главреда за статтею 287 Трудового кодексу РФ – додаткові причини для припинення трудового договору з керівником організації. Журналістка оскаржила своє звільнення у суді.

Адвокат стверджує, що її можуть звільнити за вказаною статтею протягом року, оскільки газета брала участь у передвиборчій кампанії.
