В Мадриде восьмого мая открылся музей пластика. В нем не только выставили объекты из этого материала, из него сделали само временное здание. Экспозиция должна была показать, насколько пластик противоречив и какие возможности открывает его повторное использование. Спустя десять дней работы музей был отправлен на переработку, пишет ArchDaily.

«Этот музей подчеркивает важность использования пластика и его вклада в защиту окружающей среды на всех этапах: экологический дизайн, использование, в том числе повторное, и переработка», — объяснила автор проекта Алисия Мартин.

В трех залах музея были выставлены артефакты, демонстрирующие, как пластик изменил здравоохранение, пищевую промышленность, строительство, транспорт и даже методы защиты окружающей среды.

Например, пластиковые брезенты используют на свалках, чтобы избежать загрязнения грунтовых вод. Пластик в качестве теплоизоляционного материала снижает потребление энергии, а пластиковые пленки повышают урожайность некоторых видов сельскохозяйственных культур.

«Мы много говорим об огромном вреде, который пластик наносит окружающей среде. Но во многих случаях этот материал снижает чрезмерный расход энергии».
