Компанія Cox Media Group (CMG) представила інструмент, що дозволяє рекламодавцям прослуховувати користувачів соцмереж через мікрофон і використовувати ці дані для таргетування реклами за допомогою штучного інтелекту. Про це повідомляє 404 Media.

У своїй презентації CMG наводила приклади співпраці з Facebook, Google та Amazon, які нібито підтримують цю ініціативу. Після того, як журналісти звернулися до Google за коментарем, компанія швидко видалила будь-які згадки про CMG зі своєї "Партнерської програми". Meta заявила, що перевірить діяльність свого партнера на відповідність умовам обслуговування, а представник Amazon заперечив будь-яку участь у цій програмі.

Інформація про прослуховування для таргетування реклами не нова, але останній витік даних викликав хвилю обговорень, оскільки CMG стягує за свої послуги від $100 на день, що дозволяє націлювати рекламу на людей у радіусі 15 км і більше.

CMG поки що не надала офіційних коментарів, але збереження презентації в архіві ускладнює можливість заперечувати свою участь у цій програмі.
