Почесний патріарх Філарет дав інтерв'ю співробітниці пропагандистського телеканалу "Росія24" Ганні Афанасьєвій.

Сюжет під назвою "Нічого святого" оприлюднений у Youtube, пише Громадське.

Зокрема Філарет розкритикував Томос та діяльність Православної церкви України.

Крім того, почесний патріарх розповів про свої претензії до томоса і висловив незгоду з назвою нової церкви.

Він також поскаржився на главу ПЦУ. Він заявив, що і Епіфаній, і п'ятий президент України Петро Порошенко його "обдурили".

"Якби було поставлено питання про те, що я відстороняюся від управління церквою, я б на такі умови не пішов", — стверджує Філарет.

Патріарху також не подобається назва ПЦУ — на його думку, вона "не є незалежною". За його словами, назва мала бути "Українська православна церква".

"Ця церква має право служити тільки на території України. За територію України Європа, Америка, Канада, ця ж Росія, Австралія — це належить Константинопольському патріарху", — заявляє він. 

Патріарх також назвав причину, чому не він очолив ПЦУ.

"Вони знають мене 50 років. Коли я ще представляв Російську православну церкву в Шамбезі. Знають мою позицію і мою твердість. Тому не хотіли мати зі мною справи, знаючи, що задумують такий томос", — наголошує Філарет.
