Заступник консула Японії передав у дар Мінусинському краєзнавчому музею журнали, де Курили позначені як японська територія.

Так, під час неофіційного візиту в Красноярський край, консул подарував музею журнали.

Спочатку працівники музею були раді подарунку, але потім помітили карту, де острови Ітуруп, Кунашир, Шикотан і мала Курильська гряда відзначені тим же кольором, що і Японія.

"На превеликий жаль, ці матеріали спрямовані на те, щоб переписати історію", - прокоментувала те, що трапилося директор музею Світлана Борисова. 

Відзначається, що журнали друкувалися в Москві японським посольством.

Територіальна суперечка між Росією і Японією є неврегульованою з часу закінчення Другої світової війни. Після війни всі Курильські острови були включені до складу СРСР, проте приналежність островів Ітуруп, Кунашир, Шикотан і групи островів Хабомаї оскаржується Японією, яка вважає їх окупованою частиною країни. 

У лютому 2020 року президент РФ Володимир Путін запропонував доручити юристам сформулювати норму Конституції про заборону "відчуження територій Росії".
