Загальнонаціональний з'їзд Демократичної партії США затвердив у середу, 27 липня, кандидатуру сенатора від штату Вірджинія Тімоті Кейна в якості віце-президента США.

Рішення погоджено загальним схваленням делегатів, передає Укрінформ.

"Надійшло прохання припинити процедуру та затвердити кандидатуру шляхом акламації загального схвалення", - заявила голова з'їзду конгресвумен Марша Фадж.

Нагадаємо, у вівторок увечері, 26 липня, Гілларі Клінтон офіційно була оголошена кандидаткою в президенти США під час з'їзду Демократичної партії у Філадельфії.

Вибори президента США відбудуться 8 листопада 2016 року. За президентський пост боротимуться республіканець Дональд Трамп і кандидат від демократів Гілларі Клінтон.
