Журналістка «Голосу Америки» Катерина Лісунова стала членкинею PEN America. Про це вона повідомила на своїй фейсбук-сторінці.

«Для мене велика честь отримати спеціальне запрошення приєднатися до PEN America. Щиро дякую цій організації за відданість справі захисту свободи слова та підтримку журналістів "Голосу Америки"», — написала журналістка.

Катерина також опублікувала частину вітального листа, в якому їй подякували від імені президентки PEN America Дженніфер Фінні Бойлан, Ради директорів і всієї команди за позитивну відповідь на їхню пропозицію долучитися до організації.

«Наша організація працює на перетині літератури та прав людини, захищаючи свободу слова в Сполучених Штатах і по всьому світу. Як наша членкиня, ви долучаєтеся до захисту свободи висловлювання, боротьби з цензурою, підтримки літературної майстерності, допомоги переслідуваним письменникам і відстоювання творчої свободи», — йдеться у листі.
