Компания Chubb, входящая в десятку крупнейших страховщиков США, предложила своим клиентам в Великобритании новый вид страхования — защиту от онлайн-троллинга и издевательств в интернете. Об этом сообщает tjournal.ru со ссилкой на  Business Insider.

Как объясняют в Chubb, услуга в первую очередь предназначена для родителей, желающих защитить своих детей в интернете, однако она может распространяться и на взрослых.

Клиенты компании смогут получить консультации при травмирующей ситуации, а также средства для временного переезда в случае угроз. Страховка будет распространяться и на найм консультантов по PR, способных защитить репутацию клиента после её очернения в сети, а также на услуги экспертов по безопасности при нападении на сайт клиента. В том случае, если нарушен закон, эксперты также будут работать с полицией.

Киберзапугивание определяется страховщиком как «три или более актов преследования, угроз и запугивания, осуществлённых одним человеком или группой людей». При наступлении страхового случая клиенты компании смогут претендовать на выплату денежной компенсации в размере до 50 тысяч фунтов стерлингов (5,2 миллиона рублей).

По закону в Великобритании за интернет-троллинг можно в качестве наказания отправиться в тюрьму на срок до 6 месяцев. При этом британские политики и чиновники неоднократно высказывались за увеличение этого срока до двух лет.
