Дочь сопредседателя партии РПР- Парнас, депутата Ярославской областной думы Бориса Немцова Жанна получила в пятницу в Варшаве премию "Орел" Яна Карского, которая была присуждена российскому политику посмертно за "смелость свободы слова". Об этом ТАСС сообщила исполнительный директор РПР-Парнас Ольга Шорина,сообщает ТАСС

"Сегодня в Варшаве состоялась церемония вручения премии "Орел" Карского 2015 года. В этом году премию посмертно вручили Борису Немцову. Сегодня ее получала его дочь Жанна", - сказала Шорина.

По ее словам, премия не имеет денежного выражения, ее лауреатам вручается статуэтка.

Ян Карский, польский дипломат, в годы Второй мировой войны был курьером между польскими эмиграционными властями и польским подпольем. Он информировал правительства Великобритании и США о массовом уничтожении гитлеровцами евреев. Премию "Орел" Карский учредил в 2000 году, незадолго до своей смерти. В предыдущие годы премию получили Тадеуш Мазовецкий, Лех Валенса, Адам Михник. В этом году премия впервые присуждена посмертно.

Борис Немцов был убит в Москве в ночь на 28 февраля 2015 года.
