Полиция безопасности Латвии проводит проверку по факту популяризации в социальных сетях идеи "Латгальской народной республики". Об этом сообщает издание Delfi.

В частности, в Facebook опубликовано изображение флага с надписью "Латгальская народная республика", а также изображение карты Латвии с отделенной Латгалией.

В полиции безопасности подчеркивают, что распространение в публичном пространстве идей, направленных на обжалование принципа территориальной целостности страны, отвечает геополитическим интересам России.

С учетом увеличения числа случаев, когда изображение флага Латвии используется в провокационном и не соответствующем интересам Латвии виде, полиция безопасности призывает общество сообщать о подобных случаях.
