Видеопортал Vimeo и доступ к ряду материалов зарубежных интернет-ресурсов заблокированы в Казахстане решением Есильского районного суда города Астаны из-за пропаганды терроризма, культа жестокости и насилия.

Как указывается в сообщении суда, поступило заявление от комитета связи, информатизации и информации министерства по инвестициям и развитию РеспубликиКазахстан о признании продукции и видеоматериалов, размещенных на иностранных интернет-ресурсах, незаконными и запрете их распространения на территории Казахстана.

В частности, ведомство просило прекратить распространение видеороликов о казнях боевиками ИГИЛ эфиопских христиан, пилотов сирийских ВВС, волонтера из США, иорданского пилота, а также ряд других видеоматериалов, размещенных террористами.

"Интернет-ресурс Vimro содержит большое количество видеоматериалов, которые содержат сцены, пропагандирующие культ жестокости и насилия, а также идеи терроризма и религиозного экстремизма", — говорится в сообщении.

Vimeo — бесплатный видеохостинг. Он открылся в ноябре 2004 года. Сайт находится под управлением InterActiveCorp. На сайте можно выкладывать видео, общий размер которых не может быть более 500 мегабайт в неделю.
