Естонська поліція затримала видавця проросійських порталів "Балтія" і Baltnews, члена Координаційної ради російських співвітчизників Олександра Корнілова.

У прокуратурі повідомили, що Корнілов підозрюється в підробці документів і наданні Податково-митному департаменту невірних даних.

За наявними даними, крім Корнілова затримані ще троє, у всіх фігурантів проведені обшуки. Прокуратура не виключає, що можуть бути проведені нові затримання.

Восени минулого року у відношенні Корнілова було порушено цивільну справу, яка розглядалася в Талліннському окружному суді. З матеріалів справи випливало, що Корнілов керував MTÜ Altmedia, через дану НКО проводилися неіснуючі операції, і таким чином виводилися гроші і за них не сплачувались податки.

Поліція безпеки Естонії не раз згадувала Корнілова і його видання у своїх щорічниках як такі що займаються поширенням російської пропаганди.
