В американском городе Лос-Анджелес украинская лента о Революции Достоинства "Зима в огне: Борьба за свободу" не получила премию "Оскар" в номинации "Лучший полнометражный документальный фильм".

Об этом пишет Укринформ, ссылаясь на данные собственного корреспондента в США.

В то же время агентство уточнило, что статуэтка досталась британской картине "Эми" Азифа Кападиа о жизни и смерти певицы Эми Уайнхауз.

"Всего в этом году в номинации "Лучший полнометражный документальный фильм" представлены пять картин", — отметили журналисты.

В частности, среди них, кроме украинского и британского фильмов, были "Земля картелей" о войне мексиканских наркокартелей, "Взгляд тишины" о последствиях массовых убийств в Индонезии 1965-1966 годов, а также "Что случилось, мисс Симон?" об американской певице и активистке Нине Симон.

"Режиссером фильма "Зима в огне" является Евгений Афинеевский, он построен на документальных съемках, интервью и показаниях очевидцев событий на киевском Майдане Независимости, произошедших с декабря 2013-го по февраль 2014 годов", — добавило агентство.
