Телеканал Ukraine Todау, входящий в медиагруппу "1+1" бизнесмена Игоря Коломойского, с 1 апреля прекратит телевизионное вещание и сосредоточится на деятельности в интернете, пишет LB.ua.

"За период работы над проектом мы очень хорошо поняли свою целевую аудиторию, ее вкусы и источники получения информации. Для нас очевидно, что работа в интернете на данный момент является приоритетной и более эффективной. Именно там мы продолжим работу над существующими проектами и будем реализовывать новые", - заявила гендиректор телеканала Татьяна Пушнова.

По ее словам, на данный момент рассматривается возможность оставить небольшой англоязычный дайджест на телеканале 1+1 International.

"С самого начала это был большой социальный проект нашей медиагруппы. Однако мы понимаем, что дальнейшее развитие требует значительно больших инвестиций", - отметила Пушнова.

Она также добавила, что сотрудникам телеканала (порядка 30 человек) будут искать место внутри медиагруппы.

"Мы будем автоматизировать сайт, увеличивать его штат, и опыт тех, кто работал в телевизионном продакшне, также важен", - отметила Пушнова.

Напомним, международный новостной телеканал Ukraine Today получил лицензию на спутниковое вещание в августе 2014 года. В мае 2015 года Ukraine Todау также начал вещание в Германии - в базовом кабельном пакете.
