Uber Eats осуществил первую доставку еды в космос и он не просто отправил водителя, чтобы забрать еду и отправиться к месту назначения по GPS. Компания обратилась за помощью к японскому предпринимателю Юсаку Маэдзава, который посетил МКС во время космического путешествия.
По прибытии на космическую станцию Маэдзава доставил экипажу пакет Uber Eats с различными консервированными японскими продуктами.
Миллиардер совершил поездку на российском космическом корабле «Союз», это было его первое путешествие в космос, прежде чем он совершит полет на борту миссии SpaceX, чтобы облететь Луну в 2023 году.
«С такими блюдами, как вареная скумбрия с пастой мисо, говядина в сладком соусе, тушеная курица с бамбуковыми побегами и тушеная свинина, Uber Eats и Маэдзава угостили астронавтов вкусной едой, которая была прекрасной заменой стандартной космической еды», — сказал Uber.
