Компанія Twitter представила пілотну у США програму Birdwatch, яка допоможе боротися з дезінформацією у соцмережі, повідомляється в блозі компанії

"Birdwatch дозволяє людям ідентифікувати інформацію в твітах, яку вони вважають оманливою, і писати примітки, які забезпечать інформативний контекст твіту".

У Twitter переконані, що такий підхід допоможе швидко реагувати на поширення оманливої інформації шляхом додавання контексту, якому люди довіряють і вважають цінними.

На першому етапі примітки будуть видні лише на окремому сайті Birdwatch. На цьому сайті пілотні учасники також зможуть оцінити корисність приміток, доданих іншими учасниками.

Підкреслюється, що примітки не впливатимуть на те, як люди бачать твіти чи рекомендації соцмережі.  

В кінцевому результаті компанія хоче зробити примітки видимими безпосередньо у твітах для глобальної аудиторії Twitter.
