Президент США Дональд Трамп возглавил рейтинг популярности среди основных кандидатов на выдвижение на президентских выборах 2020 года, свидетельствует опрос USA TODAY/Suffolk University.
 

Согласно опросу, Трамп имеет перевес над Джо Байденом в 3%, над Берни Сандерсом — 5%, над сенатором Элизабет Уоррен — 8%, над Майклом Блумбергом — 9%, над Питтом Буттиджичем — 10%.

Наибольшая поддержка Трампа зафиксирована среди мужчин, наименьшая — среди женщин, в целом, республиканец наиболее популярен среди избирателей старше 35 лет.

Кандидаты от Демократической партии пользуются наибольшей поддержкой среди возрастной группы от 18 до 34 лет.

Социологи отметили, что проведенный за год до выборов опрос не является надежным индикатором результатов выборов в ноябре 2020 года. Тем более, что кандидат от Демократической партии еще не утвержден.

Опрос проводился с 10 по 14 декабря (накануне голосования Палаты представителей за обвинительные статьи по импичменту Трампа) среди 1000 зарегистрированных избирателей, его погрешность составляет 3 процентных пункта.
