Компанія Twitter повідомила про заплановану зустріч із Комітетом з розвідки Сенату США, який розслідує втручання Росії у вибори американського президента у 2016 році.

Про це повідомляє Європейська правда із посиланням на The Associated Press.

У своїй заяві компанія повідомила, що її представники зустрінуться зі співробітниками Комітету з розвідки Сенату США на наступному тижні.

Агентство нагадує, що Комітет уважно вивчає розповсюдження фейкових новин та пропаганди в соціальних мережах на час виборів.

Вже відбулася зустріч із представниками компанії Facebook.

Повідомляється, що топ-демократ у Комітеті, сенатор Марк Уорнер з Вірджинії, сказав, що він хоче також допитати Twitter, та дізнатися більше про використання підроблених облікових записів та мережі ботів для поширення дезінформації.

Раніше у Facebook повідомили, що тіньова російська компанія, так звана "ферма тролів", які відомі своєю прокремлівською пропагандою, скуповувала та поширювала політичну рекламу під час президентської кампанії в США.
