На праймериз Демократической партии в штате Индиана побеждает сенатор от Вермонта Берни Сандерс.
Как сообщает Русская служба ВВС, Сандерс опережает свою главную соперницу бывшего госсекретаря Хиллари Клинтон примерно на семь процентных пунктов по итогам подсчета около 70% голосов, что позволяет спрогнозировать его победу.
Отмечается, что победа Сандерса в Индиане вряд ли спасет его кампанию за номинацию от демократов. Догнать Клинтон по количеству делегатов у Сандерса уже вряд ли получится.
Кроме того, Клинтон пользуется поддержкой суперделегатов - действующих сенаторов, губернаторов и других официальных лиц. В отличие от обычных выборщиков, они могут голосовать, за кого хотят. С их учетом число сторонников Клинтон составляет 1758 человек, а Сандерса - лишь 1069.
Чтобы стать единым кандидатом от Демократической партии, кандидату надо набрать 2383 голоса.
