Лишенный украинского гражданства глава Одесской ОГА Михаил Саакашвили дал интервью корреспондентам издания «Украинская правда», в ходе которого назвал известного украинского бизнесмена Рината Ахметова «основным мотиватором» нынешнего президента Петра Порошенко. 

«Сейчас Ахметов - основной моттиватор Порошенко. Они друг к другу относятся с чувством ненависти, но в то же время, они сильно друг другу нужны. Можно уже говорить о семейных связях, принимая во внимание то, что Марина Порошенко на телеканале «Украина», которым владеет Ахметов, ведет свою рубрику «В ритме спорта», - сказал Саакашвили, добавив, что Петр Порошенко «всегда сам принимает единоличные решения, но Ахметов всегда являлся главным мотиватором». 

К тому же, экс-президент Грузии добавил, что своим указом от 24 июля 2017 года глава украинского государства принял решение о включение в состав комиссии по гражданству представителя министра внутренних дел Арсена Авакова – государственного секретаря МВД Алексея Тахтая, для того, чтобы «разделить ответственность». «Он хорошо понимал, к чему это решение приведет», - подчеркнул Саакашвили.
