Половина американцев довольны деятельностью Барака Обамы на посту президента, сообщает агентство Associated Press со ссылкой на данные собственного опроса.

Рейтинг президента начал расти на фоне позитивных новостей в экономике, и впервые с 2013 года достиг 50%. Также на отношение американцев к главе государства повлияла ситуация в области внешней политики и иммиграции.

Агентство отмечает, что рейтинг Обамы значительно выше, чем рейтинг его предшественника на этом этапе президентства. Так, Джорджа Буша-младшего в последний год в Белом доме поддерживали только 30%. Между тем, рейтинг Билла Клинтона в этот же период его нахождения у власти был выше, чем у Обамы и достигал 60%.

При этом, в целом респонденты более положительно относятся к Обаме, чем к кому-либо из кандидатов на участие в президентской гонке.

Напомним, президентские выборы в США пройдут в ноябре. В гонке от республиканцев лидирует миллиардер Дональд Трамп, от демократов - бывший госсекретарь Хиллари Клинтон.
