Поліція Косово у середу застосувала сльозогінний газ і затримала 13 протестувальників у ході зіткнень під час протестів проти угоди з Сербією.

Опозиційні депутати і їх прихильників вже багато тижнів протестують проти угоди з Сербією, яка підтримується Євросоюзом і надає більше прав сербському населенню у районах Косово, де серби становлять більшість.

У ході протестів депутати кілька разів розпилювали в парламенті сльозогінний і перцевий газ. Після того як інцидент з газом у парламенті повторився у вівторок, поліція затримала одного з опозиційних депутатів.

Це змусило його розлючених прибічників вийти на вулиці. Демонстранти кидали в поліцію пляшки з запальною сумішшю і каміння, у відповідь поліція вжила сльозогінний газ.

Повідомляється також про чотирьох поранених серед поліцейських. Також було пошкоджено багато громадських установ.

"Поліція була змушена втрутитися, оскільки протестувальники були дуже агресивними", - заявили в поліції.

Там також додали, що ордер на арешт видано загалом щодо чотирьох депутатів.

Косовська опозиція виступає проти домовленостей із Сербією, вважаючи, що це поглибить етнічний розрив і збільшить вплив Сербії в Косово, яке є переважно албанським
