Прем’єр-міністр Канади Джастін Трюдо взяв участь у найбільшому в країні прайд-параді в Торонто.

Як передає кореспондент Укрінформу, Трюдо став першим главою уряду Канади, який пройшов у прайд-параді під час перебування на посту.

В інтерв’ю телеканалу CP24 він заявив, що «участь прем’єр-міністра у прайд-параді має стати пересічною подією», пише Укрінформ

Разом із прем’єром у колоні рухалися кілька федеральних міністрів і депутатів, а також політичні діячі провінційного рівня. Всього у параді взяло участь більше двохсот тисяч осіб.

Нагадаємо: нещодавно Джастін Трюдо пообіцяв на федеральному рівні ухвалити законодавство, яке захищатиме права транссексуалів: людей, чия гендерна ідентичність протилежна приписаній при народженні статі.
