Мобильные приложения на iOS и Android уже доступны для скачивания в соответствующих магазинах. В App Store проект Adblock появилось впервые, в то время как в Play Market ему не позволяли появится еще с марта 2013 года. С конца мая текущего года браузер Adblock для Android работал в бета-версии. За первую неделю его скачали более 300 000 пользователей.
Авторы приложений утверждают, что блокировка рекламы может продлить работу батареи устройства. Кроме того, интернет-страницы будут открываться быстрее из-за отсутствия баннеров.
Браузер Adblock поможет повысить уровень защиты мобильного устройства и снизить риск заражения вирусами. Функции его блокировки включают в себя поддержку избранных веб-сайтов с помощью добавления их в «белый список», изменение настроек по умолчанию для блокировки всей рекламы, отключение слежения и кнопок социальных медиа, а также блокировку вредоносных баннеров.
