Посол США в Україні Марі Йованович заявила, що Штати не змінять ставлення до України незалежно від результатів виборів.

"У мене є чітка впевненість в тому, що незалежно від того, хто буде наступним президентом, що і в перехідний період і при новій адміністрації, США залишаться потужним партнером України", - сказала вона на брифінгу, пише Інтерфакс-Україна.

При цьому вона підкреслила, що з боку обох команд демонструється підтримка українського суверенітету, територіальної цілісності, демократії та співробітництва.

"Політика США щодо України незмінна вже 25 років, так як існує консенсус на підтримку України", - підкреслила американський дипломат.

В 8:00 за київським часом в США закрилися останні виборчі дільниці для голосування на президентських виборах.
