Бундестаг у п’ятницю проголосував за законопроект про легалізацію одностатевих шлюбів. Німеччина дозволила громадянські одностатеві шлюби в 2001 році, але ці пари досі не мали права одружуватися.

Законопроект підтримали 393 депутати, 226 були проти і четверо утрималися.

Ухвалений закон, зокрема, дозволяє одностатевим парам всиновлювати дітей.

До сьогоднішнього дня будь-яке голосування з цього питання блокувалося коаліціями під керівництвом Християнських демократів Ангели Меркель (ХДС) та її баварської сестринської партії Християнського-соціального союзу (ХСС).

Однак на початку цього тижня Меркель вперше публічно пом'якшила свою опозицію у питанні дозволу одностатевих шлюбів.

Цим скористалися соціал-демократи, "зелені" та "ліві", які раніше просували цей законопроекті, і наступного дня на Комітеті з правових питань Бундестагу проголосували за його підтримку і рекомендували до голосування.

Депутати від ХДС/ХСС на комітеті були проти, адже раніше існувала домовленість, що документ розглянуть вже після парламентських виборів у вересні. Однак голосування у Бундестазі відбулося в останній сесійний день перед літньою перервою.

Слід зазначити, що сама Меркель проголосувала проти узаконення одностатевих шлюбів. Законопроект підтримали близько 70 депутатів ХДС.
