Президентская семья кормила нуждающихся картофельным пюре, мясом с различными соусами и другими вкусностями, сообщает NBC Nightly News, пишет РБК

Кроме того, ежегодно Барак Обама проводит церемонию помилования индеек. Этот год не стал исключением. Хозяин Белого дома традиционно помиловал двух белых 20-килограммовых индюков. Подобная традиция была заведена 33-м главой Соединенных Штатов Гарри Трумэном, и проходит она каждый год в Розовом саду Белого дома.

Пернатых "амнистированных", имена которым выбирали школьники из Калифорнии, зовут Онест и Эйб. Теперь, вместо того, чтобы оказаться на праздничном столе президента, индюки будут доживать свой птичий век на шикарной ферме "Индюшачий холм", неподалеку от Вашингтона, сообщает Replyua.
