Президент США Барак Обама в ходе интервью на телеканале CBS News ответил на гипотетический вопрос о третьем сроке. По его словам, длительное пребывание отражается негативным образом как на работе, так и на личной жизни, передает Associated Press.

"Я не стал бы баллотироваться на третий срок, даже если бы мог", — заявил американский лидер. Он выразил мнение, что должность главы государства требует регулярного обновления. В Белый дом, по его словам, должны приходить новые люди, полные энергии и идей.

Президентские выборы в США состоятся 8 ноября 2016 года. Барак Обама не сможет в них участвовать, поскольку уже дважды избирался президентом. Первая инаугурация состоялась 20 января 2009 года. Второй срок его президентских полномочий истекает в январе 2017 года.
