Новым президентом Парламентской Ассамблеи Совета Европы (ПАСЕ) стал Педро Аграмунт. Об этом в Facebook сообщил народный депутат от "Народного фронта" Георгий Логвинский.

"Новым президентом ПАСЕ стал Педро Аграмунт - член ПАСЕ от Испании, сенатор, президент Европейской народной партии в ПАСЕ. Талантливый человек и умелый организатор. В соответствии с общими правилами процедуры ПАСЕ выборы президента проводятся после проверки полномочий членов и их заместителей. Президент избирается в ходе закрытого голосования. Если после двух туров голосования ни один из кандидатов не наберет абсолютного большинства голосов членов Ассамблеи, то для избрания в третьем туре достаточно относительного большинства. В случае равенства голосов избранным объявляется кандидат старший по возрасту", - сообщил Логвинский.

Нардеп сообщил, что Аграмунт был избран по исключительной процедуре - процедуре безусловного избрания. Ассамблее был предложен один кандидат, следовательно он автоматически стал избранным президентом ПАСЕ без голосования.

Отметим, до этого должность президента ПАСЕ занимала Анна Брассер.
