— Наразі кваліфікацію на ігри пройшли 12 росіян та 7 білорусів. За найбільш ймовірним сценарієм МОК, на ігри потраплять 36 спортсменів із російським паспортом та 22 із білоруським. Максимальна допустима їхня кількість — 54 та 28 відповідно (у 2020 році від Росії приїхало 330 учасників ігор).

— В індивідуальних нейтральних спортсменів (AIN) буде свій прапор та гімн. У гімні немає слів, його було створено виключно для проведення ігор. Гімн буде виконано, а прапор піднято, якщо спортсмен зможе здобути медалі. При цьому вони не відображатимуться у загальному заліку країн.
