Восьмого листопада жителі США не тільки обирали президента, але і голосували за ряд змін, пов'язаних з різними сферами життя. Про це пишуть Українські новини з посиланням на The Guardian.

За легалізацію марихуани проголосували в штатах Каліфорнія, Массачусетс, Невада, Флорида, Північна Дакота, Анканзас. Однак Арізона стала першим штатом, де жителі проголосували проти такої ініціативи. Як визначили фахівці, "юридичний" продаж марихуани в США зможе принести в бюджет близько 22 млрд доларів до 2020 року.

В Небрасці і Каліфорнії проголосували за повернення смертної кари для особливо жорстоких злочинців.

Також ряд штатів проголосував за зміну мінімальної заробітної плати. Тепер за годину роботи у штаті Вашингтон можна заробити від 13,50$ в годину, в Арізоні - до 12$, в Мені - до 15$.

Крім того, більшість жителів штату Колорадо проголосували за легалізацію евтаназії на референдумі. Таким правом зможуть скористатися невиліковно хворі від 18 років і старше, яким, за прогнозами лікарів, залишилося жити не більше півроку.
