Кампания против блокировщиков продлится ровно неделю. Инициатором и организатором выступила ассоциация GESTE, в которую входят и наиболее известные французские издания. О предстоящей акции ассоциация сообщала еще в декабре прошлого года. Цель забастовки — показать читателям, что контент изданий не бесплатный.
Издания подошли к акции по-разному. Одни полностью перекрывают доступ к порталу, другие — вывешивают баннер с просьбой отключить блокирующее рекламу ПО или добавить сайт в белый список, а третьи даже предлагают подписку по сниженной цене для обладателей AdBlock и его аналогов.
Согласно недавнему исследованию, блокировщиком пользуются три француза из десяти, в возрастной группе от 16 до 24 лет более половины опрошенных используют данное ПО.
В недавнем исследовании компании Tune сообщалось, что примерно четверть пользователей смартфонов имеют установленный блокировщик рекламы.
