Продюсером шоу, назву якого поки зберігають у таємниці, стане Енді Уілман, з яким довгий час працювали у Top Gear Кларксон, Мей та Хаммонд, пише Media Sapiens

Очікується, що шоу запустять у виробництво найближчим часом, а перші серії вийдуть на Amazon Prime у 2016. Контракт підписаний тільки на перші три серії нового шоу, відзначає The Guardian.

Джеремі Кларксон, Джеймс Мей та Річард Хаммонд були ведучими популярного автомобільного шоу Top Gear, що виходило на BBC, з 2002 року.

Однак екс-ведучого Top Gear Джеремі Кларксона спочатку відсторонили від роботи, а потім звільнили за наслідками службового розслідування після сутички ведучого з продюсером у готелі.

4 березня Кларксон ударив продюсера Ойсина Тимона і розбив йому губу, внаслідок чого той звернувся по допомогу в лікарню.

25 березня ВВС оголосила результат внутрішнього розслідування інциденту, який полягав у тому, що контракт Кларксона як ведучого програми Top Gear не буде поновлено.

Понад мільйон шанувальників ведучого підписали петицію до ВВС з вимогою відновити його на посаді, але генеральний директор Тоні Голл сказав, що Кларксон перебрав міру і не можна робити винятків із правил ні для кого, хоч би який зірковий статус вони мали.
