Ролик-експеримент організації Hollaback! з'явився в мережі 28 жовтня і був покликаний привернути увагу до проблеми докучань жінок на вулицях міста. 10-годинна прогулянка привабливою і мовчазної жінки по центру Нью-Йорку постійно знімали на камеру. Під час цього "походу" чоловіки до неї приставали не менше 100 разів,пише ТСН

Відео, назване "10 Hours of Walking in NYC as a Woman" (10 годин прогулянки по Нью-Йорку як жінки), зібрав вже понад 35 млн переглядів на YouTube.

Популярність цього відео Америкою не обмежилася. Почали з'являтися ролики з інших міст по всій планеті, таких як Рига, Дублін, Берлін і так аж до Мумбаї, де на дівчину ніхто взагалі не звертав уваги.

Цілком серйозна ідея стала об'єктом всіляких пародій. Наприклад аналогічний ролик, але тепер вже у жартівливій формі про прогулянку хлопця переодягненого у дівчину, так званого дрєг-квін (drag queen).

Принцеса Лея з кіно-епопеї "Зоряні війни" також не може спокійно пройтися вулицями галасливого Нью-Йорка. При цьому автори проявили творчий підхід і дістали оригінальні костюми з фільму.

Пародіювати проект Hollaback! почали навіть персонажі ігор, таких як Battlefield, Skyrim, World of Warcraft або Grand Theft Auto.
