Интернет-гигант Google подписал договоренность с рядом европейских газетных конгломератов с целью помочь им зарабатывать больше денег в интернете,сообщает ВВС

Google обещает вложить 160 млн долларов в новые цифровые проекты, связанные с усовершенствованием продвижения рекламы и разработкой новых новостных приложений.

Некоторые издатели недовольны практикой Google по размещению бесплатного новостного контента в интернете, утверждая, что это приводит к падению продаж печатных копий газет и к снижению доходов от рекламы.

Новый проект Google уже поддержали такие издания как Financial Times, Guardian, El Pais и Die Zeit.

В середине апреля Еврокомиссия предъявила Google обвинения в нарушении конкуренции путем продвижения компанией собственных продуктов.
