Все більше британців, які живуть по цілому світу, подають заявки на отримання ірландських паспортів, аби "захистити свої позиції" після Brexit
 

Про це заявив посол Ірландії у Великій Британії Дан Малголл, пише Еспресо.ТВ із посиланням на Independent.

За його словами, в першій половині 2017 року надійшло вже 500 тис. заявок від британських громадян, які бояться втратити право жити й працювати в Європейському Союзі після Brexit.

"Кількість (таких осіб - ред.) зросла дуже суттєво", - заявив Малголл у п'ятницю, 4 серпня, в ефірі BBC Radio 4.

Він пояснює це "наслідками минулорічного референдуму".

"Це надзвичайна кількість паспортів... Люди з усього світу, чимало з яких є британцями та мешкають у Європі або в інших місцях й мають зв'язки з Ірландією, шукають ірландських паспортів для захисту своїх позицій на майбутнє", - наголосив він.
