Міністр культури, молоді та спорту України Володимир Бородянський запропонував представниками ЗМІ разом працювати над розробкою законопроєктів, які будуть регулювати діяльність журналістів.
 

Про це він сказав під час публічної дискусії в Укрінформі на тему: “Свобода слова, захист журналістів та інформаційного простору України від дезінформації (маніпуляції та фейків)”.

“Дуже важливо, шановні журналісти, що мі із вами створюватимемо законодавство України. Ми створюємо! Ви і ми. Ми пропонуємо, а ви - реагуєте. Ми будемо вас запрошувати, щоб ви давали свою реакцію на те, що ми пропонуємо”, - сказав Бородянський.

Урядовець одразу попередив, що працювати доведеться активно і тривалий час. “Це багато роботи. Вам потрібно буде витрачати на це близько 10-12 годин на тиждень, і так протягом мінімум трьох тижнів. Будь ласка, виділіть цей час”, - додав міністр.

На його пропозицію вже відгукнулося п'ятеро представників журналістської спільноти.

Як повідомляв Укрінформ, Президент Володимир Зеленський доручив Кабінету міністрів до кінця 2019 року розробити та внести на розгляд Верховної Ради законопроєкт щодо врегулювання діяльності медіа в Україні, де передбачити, зокрема, "положення щодо вимог та стандартів новин".

Водночас міністр культури, молоді та спорту Володимир Бородянський запевнив, що уряд не має наміру регулювати стандарти новин, а слова в указі Президента про "вимоги і стандарти новин" є термінологічним непорозумінням.
